These terms explain the boundaries between Virginia’s public education, books, programs, community spaces, general communications, and separately contracted clinical services.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions and Website Disclaimer (“Terms”) govern access to and use of this website, its content, and related public-facing pages operated by Military Counseling Center San Antonio, PLLC (“Practice”) and Virginia Cruse, LPC-S, NCC (“Virginia,” “Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Public-facing brands may include Virginia Cruse, the PTSD Recovery Series, and related book or educational program names.

By using the website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website. Additional terms may apply to a book purchase, event, workshop, private community, consultation, or professional service and will control for that service if they conflict with these general Terms.

3. Informational and educational purposes only

Website content: including articles, videos, social posts, books, downloads, presentations, workshops, exercises, and related public-facing pages: is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal, financial, or other individualized professional advice.

A mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, or psychotherapy;
Crisis intervention, case management, or medical advice;
A recommendation to begin, discontinue, or change medication or treatment;
A substitute for evaluation by an appropriately qualified professional; or
A promise that a resource, method, or service is appropriate for a particular person or will produce a particular outcome.

4. No professional relationship is created

Virginia determines that services are appropriate and legally permissible;
Virginia expressly accepts the person as a client;
Required intake, identity and location verification, informed consent, privacy, financial, telehealth, and other documents are completed; and
The parties enter the Practice's applicable written service agreement.

5. Clinical and non-clinical services

Professional counseling is subject to applicable law, licensing-board requirements, clinical fit, and the client's physical location when services are delivered. Availability of this website in a state, country, or territory does not mean Virginia is authorized to practice there. Clients may be required to verify their location at every telehealth session, and a change in location may prevent a session from proceeding.

6. Electronic communications and confidentiality

Email, text messages, website forms, and social media are not fully secure or confidential and may be intercepted or viewed by third parties. Please do not use these channels to share confidential, clinical, or emergency information. By choosing to communicate with us electronically, you accept these risks. Messages are not monitored around the clock and are not a crisis service.

7. SMS and mobile messaging terms

If you provide optional, affirmative consent to receive text messages, Military Counseling Center San Antonio, PLLC may send messages that match the consent you selected. Messages may include responses to your inquiry, appointment or service updates, customer-care messages, and: only when you separately consent: educational or promotional messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing a book or receiving an available service.
Message frequency varies.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Do not use SMS for emergencies or urgent clinical needs. Mobile information and messaging consent are handled under our Privacy Policy. We may change or discontinue a messaging program, subject to applicable law.

8. Groups, workshops, and community spaces

Private Facebook groups and other social communities are hosted by third parties and are not clinical treatment environments. Membership may be screened, limited, declined, or removed under community standards. Platform activity is also governed by the third party's terms and privacy practices. Do not post sensitive clinical or identifying information you would not want others to see.

9. Books, products, and purchases

Books and educational products may be sold through independent sellers, marketplaces, distributors, or payment processors. Prices, availability, taxes, shipping, returns, refunds, digital delivery, and transaction security may be governed by the seller's separate policies. General website information is handled under our Privacy Policy. Established clients receive separate documents that may include a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, informed consent, telehealth consent, financial policies, communication policies, and group agreements. This website policy does not replace those documents or reduce rights provided by HIPAA or applicable state law.

14. Governing law, severability, and no waiver

Except where another jurisdiction's law must apply, these Terms are governed by Texas law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. A dispute concerning only the public website, its general informational content, or these Terms will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the Texas county where the Practice maintains its principal office, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
